Small-scale molding of plastics in vacuum

Currently, the most effective way of molding plastic products in small batches (from 1 to 1000 pcs.).

A feature of small-scale casting is the use of liquid multicomponent polyurethanes, which mimic the properties of structural plastics such as ABS, polyamide, polyethylene and rubber. Thus obtained products have virtually no differences from products made on injection molding machines from traditional materials.

Molding of plastics in a vacuum

The technology of molding liquid polyurethane in a vacuum ensures perfect filling of the mold without the use of high pressure. This makes it possible to use flexible forms for molding. Most often, flexible forms are made of silicone or polyurethane.

Molding plastic into silicone molds allows you to go through the entire process chain from the creation of the mold to receiving the finished product in a short time (several days).

Vacuum molding of plastics is popular in cases of:

  • to make a small batch of products (from 1 to 1000 pieces);
  • to get prototypes for testing or design development, to eliminate defects before the start of mass production;
  • to demonstrate product samples to customers or partners, in order to study demand even before the start of mass production;
  • restore broken or worn parts that are not on sale (discontinued, long delivery time, etc.).
